Is the app free to download?

Yes! Orthodox Christian Bible is completely free to download. All prayers, the Orthodox Study Bible, daily verse, calendar, and library content are included at no cost. An optional $7.99/month subscription is available to support ongoing development — but it is never required to use any feature of the app.

How do I set up my prayer reminders?

Open the app and tap the Settings tab at the bottom. Under Prayer Reminders, tap the Morning Prayer or Evening Prayer time to change it. Make sure you have allowed notifications for the app in your iPhone Settings → Notifications → Orthodoxy.

The notifications aren't working. What should I do?

How do I add the widget to my home or lock screen?

For the home screen: Long press your home screen → tap the "+" button → search for "Orthodoxy" → choose your widget size → tap Add Widget.

For the lock screen: Long press your lock screen → tap Customize → tap the area below the clock → find Orthodoxy → add the widget.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple. To cancel:

How do I navigate the Orthodox Study Bible?

Tap the Bible tab at the bottom, then tap Read the Bible. Once inside the reader, tap the list icon (☰) in the top right corner to open the table of contents and jump directly to any book.

How does the Orthodox Calendar work?

The calendar automatically calculates Pascha for the current year and displays all major feasts, saints days, and fasting guidelines for every day of the year. The current month is expanded by default, and today's date is highlighted. You can browse forward or backward through years using the arrows at the top.

How do I change between light and dark mode?

Tap the Settings tab and look for the Appearance section. You can choose Light, Dark, or System (which follows your iPhone's display setting automatically).
